This is Elena, a telecommunications engineer and interaction technologist. I love playing between the realms of design and technology, somewhere in the overlapping area of the physical and the digital, exploring interactions between the product and the user.

In the first part of my career, I worked as a DevOps egineer, automating software development processes and building infrastructure on the cloud. After that, and pursuing my interests, I did a Master's in Interactive Media Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, in Sweden, where I explored the technology from an user-centered design perspective.

Currently, I am focused in building technologies where interactions, experiences, and users are at the center of the focus. My most recent and representative job experiences have been within the energy transition field, where I gained a solid grasp in grids, distributed energy resources, energy management systems, and sustainable energy. I consider myself a sustainable creative technologist and enthusiastic prototyper with the aim of building a better world all together.

One might say I am curious all the way down to the nitty-gritty. To understand the matter, I could spend hours just by getting lost in the foundations until reaching the information in the form of bits. It is through the process of understanding that, for me, learning new things everyday is an exciting and intriguing experience.
